Commitment To Safety

Cannon Electric Co. integrates safety with every aspect of its mission to provide the highest quality installations and service to its customer base and to the community.  While compliance with OSHA and MSHA Standards are important, we have found that our efforts to exceed mandated government safety standard makes good business sense as well.  Improvements in quality control and employee well-being are just two of the many benefits realized through the implementation of rigorous safety initiatives. 

Our safety program utilizes resources and training materials provided by NECA.  Safety technicians are also trained to provide additional on-site presence according to the demands of construction and service activity. 

The following resources are regarded as keys to successful safety operations: 

• Financial commitment to fund the time and training necessary to achieve successful results. 

• Management support of the policies and practices necessary to achieve consistent results. 

• Cooperation of field management to ensure that safe work practices are carried out at each worksite through site-specific planning and follow through. 

• Weekly ‘Tool-Box’ safety talks for all field employees

• Random Workplace Safety Inspections, emphasizing electrical safety, safe work behavior, and general site safety. 

• Extensive safety training, including company and jobsite safety orientations.

• Commitment to a Drug Free Workplace.
